Marvel Studios Director of Visual Development Andy Park has released several images showcasing each member of Sakaar's Contest of Champions that appeared in 2017's Thor: Ragnarok.

There were a total of 15 characters featured in the images, which included Thor, the Hulk, Korg, Meik and many more. "Definitely one of the most fun times I’ve had leading the Vis Dev department at Marvel Studios was working on Thor: Ragnarok!" Park said of the designs. "We were asked to design a TON of alien gladiators for the Grandmaster’s Contest of Champions. These were the approved design picks by Taika Waititi."

Park also added that he and costume designer Mayes Rubeo came up with the design for Gladiator Thor.

Following 2013's Thor: The Dark WorldThor: Ragnarok showed the God of Thunder on a mission to save Asgard from his sister, Hela. The film was written and directed by Taika Waititi, who is also set co-write and direct Thor: Love and Thunder.

Production on Thor: Love and Thunder was recently delayed because of the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and it is currently uncertain when filming will begin.
