Marvel Studios artist Ryan Meinerding has shared his concept art for Thor: Ragnarok's Valkyrie on his Instagram. Meinerding, who has provided art for nearly every MCU film, got the first chance to design the character.

As Brunhilde, last of the elite Asgardian Valkyries, Tessa Thompson was given the chance to play the iconic character as something new in Thor: Ragnarok. For most of the film, she traded her silver and gold Valkyrie armor for a blue and black ensemble that highlighted her job as a Scrapper for the Grandmaster.

If the film had gone with Meinerding's vision, she would have had white tattoos on her upper arms and she would have worn arm bands and a shorter cape. In addition to an undercut, she sports blue paint over her eyes, not unlike Bucky Barnes in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. She also has a sword as well as her dagger.

In theaters now, Thor: Ragnarok stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Cate Blanchett as Hela, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Karl Urban as Skurge, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk and Anthony Hopkins as Odin.
