Chris Hemsworth's Thor traded in his bracers and winged helm for a matching headband and wrist bands in new set photos from Marvel Studios and Taika Waititi's Thor: Love and ThunderLooking ready for a workout instead of battle, Hemsworth is also sporting a cutoff muscle t-shirt and warm-up vest over a pair of light grey sweatpants. Thor's signature long blonde hair and beard are firmly in place, though there's no sign of a hammer, ax or other weapon. The photos also show one of the actor's twins playing on a tablet alongside his superhero dad.
This is just the latest in a series of set photos that have been released or posted by the cast and crew since the fourth installment of the Marvel film franchise began filming in Australia. Waititi has already said he thinks this might be the "best Marvel film ever," with past stars across the MCU returning and new ones added to featured roles.
Directed by Taika Waititi, Thor: Love and Thunder stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, Jaimie Alexander as Lady Sif, Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Dave Bautista as Drax, Karen Gillan as Nebula and Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher. The film arrives in theaters May 6, 2022.
