When it was reported that the Thor: Love and Thunder script had already been written, fans were amazed by how fast the movie was moving along. Apparently, so was writer-director Taika Waititi. In a recent Tweet, the director debunked the rumor that the script for the upcoming action film is ready, clarifying that only the "title page is complete."

Thor: Love and Thunder was officially announced at Marvel's Hall H panel at this year's Comic-Con International in San Diego. The film will see Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson return as Thor and Valkyrie, respectfully, and will reintroduce Natalie Portman's Jane Foster as the new Thor.

Portman's Jane Foster debuted in 2011's Thor. She reprised the role for the 2013 sequel Thor: The Dark World, but did not appear in Thor: Ragnarok. In that film, Thor revealed he and Foster had broken up, explaining her absence. While Portman did technically appear in Avengers: Endgame, her scenes involved unused footage from previous Thor films.

Love and Thunder will conclude Marvel's Phase 4 when it releases in November, 2021. The other Phase 4 films include Black Widow, The Eternals, Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse Of Madness.

Directed by Taika Waititi, Thor: Love and Thunder stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie and Natalie Portman as Jane Foster. The film arrives in theaters on November 5, 2021.
