Another A-list celebrity joins the cast of Thor: Love and Thunder with the addition of Russell Crowe.

Deadline reports that Marvel Studios originally intended to keep Crowe's casting a secret, but recent set photos from Australia that were shared online have caught the actor hanging out with the cast.

A host of set photos from the fourth Thor film in the Marvel Studios franchise have spoiled surprise cameos that are scheduled to take place. For example, photos released at the beginning of March revealed Melissa McCarthy will make her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as Hela in Thor: Love and Thunder. Of course, this picks up the Asgardian play story thread from Thor: Ragnarok, which saw Matt Damon portray Loki. This time, McCarthy will take on the role of Cate Blanchett's Hela. McCarthy was also joined by her husband Ben Falcone and Luke Hemsworth as the trio re-enacts their take on the star-studded play scene.

There have also been rumors that Jeff Goldblum's Grandmaster may also return in Love and Thunder. Goldblum was seen with Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi and Thor actor Chris Hemsworth at Stadium Australia as the group watched a National Rugby League match between the South Sydney Rabbitohs and Sydney Roosters. Coincidentally, the group took in the festivities from Russell Crowe's private box.

Previous leaks from Thor: Love and Thunder spoil the return of Mjolnir. Stunt performer Bobby Holland Hanton shared now-deleted set videos to TikTok that featured him training with Mjolnir while strapped to a harness. Of course, Mjolnir was one of the many casualties of Thor: Ragnarok after Hela easily destroyed the magical hammer with one hand. Mjolnir surprisingly made a return in Avengers: Endgame when Thor and Rocket time-traveled back to Asgard to retrieve it during the events of Thor: The Dark World. During Endgame's climax, Captain America proved he was worthy to lift Mjolnir to face the Mad Titan Thanos and save Thor.

Directed by Taika Waititi, Thor: Love and Thunder stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, Jaimie Alexander as Lady Sif, Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Dave Bautista as Drax, Karen Gillen as Nebula and Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher. The film arrives in theaters May 6, 2022.
