Along with the first trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder, Marvel Studios released the film's first poster, featuring Ravager Thor in full metal mode.

The poster features Chris Hemsworth's God of Thunder, with an aim and conquer spirit, standing tall on a mountaintop with Stormbreaker held high in the air. There's a touch of the golden hour horizon on the blue sky, contrasting with the clouds and Stormbreaker's lightning. The caption accompanying the poster reads, "The One and Only," followed by the logo and the release date of July 8.

The first trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder showcases Thor attempting to put his superhero days behind him. The mountains, reminiscent of Earth's Himalayas, imply Thor's quest to rediscover himself and his purpose. His new look as Ravager Thor was previously revealed with promo art for a line of Marvel Legends action figures from Hasbro.

The poster surfaced quickly after Marvel dropped the much-awaited teaser, which marks the return of Natalie Portman's Jane Foster as the Mighty Thor. The film is based on Jason Aaron and Russell Dauterman's series of Thor comics, which featured Jane Foster replacing Thor Odinson as the God of Thunder. Jane appears as the Mighty Thor in the final moment of the trailer, wielding a reforged Mjolnir.

Though the poster doesn't reveal as much information as the first trailer, it promises a similar tone as Thor: Ragnarok by maintaining the vibrancy in its aesthetic. Moreover, the fact that Thor has dropped his Asgardian armor for an outfit that resembles Chris Pratt's Star-Lord hints at a likely rivalry of machismo between the two.

Director Taiki Waititi previously called Love and Thunder "the best Marvel film ever." Given this bright and uplifting poster, the film promises to be even more light-hearted and cheerful. The movie also stars Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher, Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Jaimie Alexander as Sif, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Vin Diesel as Groot, and Karen Gillan as Nebula.

Thor: Love and Thunder arrives in theatres on July 8.
