Jaimie Alexander will reprise her role as Lady Sif from Thor and Thor: The Dark World in Marvel Studios' Thor: Love and Thunder.

According to Deadline, Alexander will not only play Sif in Love and Thunder but possibly in Disney+'s Loki.

Alexander played Lady Sif in 2011's Thor and 2013's Thor: The Dark World, as well as brief appearances in Seasons 1 and 2 of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. However, a scheduling conflict forced her to miss 2017's Thor: Ragnarok.

In 2019, shortly after Thor: Love and Thunder was officially confirmed by Marvel Studios, Alexander teased her return to the franchise by offering to be the queen to Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie, who's now the king of New Asgard.

News of Alexander's return comes one day after Marvel Studios confirmed Christian Bale will play the villainous Gorr the God Butcher.

Directed by Taika Waititi, Thor: Love and Thunder stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, Jaimie Alexander as Lady Sif, Chris Pratt as Star-Lord and Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher. The film arrives in theaters May 6, 2022.
