The saga of the first Thor: Love and Thunder poster continues, with new information seeming to verify its authenticity.Over the weekend, an in-store shot of a Thor 4 poster was revealed online, which quickly led to a debate on social media about whether the merchandise was an official Marvel product. Director Taika Waititi then debunked the look at the film, describing it as "bad" but also saying he wished he'd made it. But despite his claims to the contrary, it seems the poster is an officially licensed Marvel Studios product for the upcoming film.RELATED: MCU Concept Artist Promises Thor: Love and Thunder Pushes the 'Boundaries of What's Comfortable'

In a tweet by The Direct, the outlet claims it spoke to Pyramid International, the company reportedly responsible for the poster. The manufacturer asserted that the poster was, in fact, an officially licensed look at Thor: Love and Thunder, albeit one that arrived at the store in question earlier than intended. If that's the case, it could mean that the poster will make its proper debut soon.

The poster prominently features Jane Foster in her Thor costume, wielding Mjolnir and channeling lightning. Natalie Portman will reprise her role as Thor's former flame in the film, and she'll eventually become the Goddess of Thunder as she did in the comics. If the illustration is accurate, then Jane will bulk up and go blonde while holding Mjolnir, just like on the page. It's unknown how exactly the character's comic book storyline, which saw her battling cancer as Jane and fighting threats across the cosmos as Thor, will be translated. But she can be seen joining forces with Chris Hemsworth's Thor, who's wielding Stormbreaker and not Mjolnir, and his friends.

The poster also spotlights Thor's colorful new outfit, which adds a touch of Superman and Wonder Woman to the Marvel hero. Elsewhere on the poster, Thor wears his street clothes as he swings Stormbreaker. Korg will also get a Viking-inspired new costume, while Valkyrie can be seen in her armor atop her pegasus. Finally, the mythical goats Toothgnasher and Toothgrinder from the comics can be seen pulling the quartet of heroes in a wooden ship.
