Jane Foster's Mighty Thor is the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe hero to make an appearance at Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure Park.

To coincide with the release of Marvel Studios' Thor: Love and Thunder, a Disney cast member adorned in Jane Foster's Asgardian armor recently made their big debut at Avengers Campus. Footage of California Adventure's Mighty Thor interacting with parkgoers was shared to YouTube by the Disney Parks news website Laughing Place.

While Avengers Campus has certain staple characters that can be found at the park year-round, a number of other characters have been making special appearances as of late in order to celebrate the launch of new Marvel Studios projects, with the Mighty Thor being only the latest example.

For instance, Ms. Marvel recently showed up at Avengers Campus to celebrate the launch of the character's eponymous Disney+ series, which America Chavez arriving before that to celebrate the theatrical debut of the film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Earlier in the year, both Marc Spector/Moon Knight and Steven Grant/Mr. Knight loomed over Avengers Campus to coincide with Marvel's Disney+ series Moon Knight.

Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Jane Foster first appeared in 1962's Journey into Mystery #84. A long-running supporting player in Marvel's Thor-centric comic books, Jane herself began wielding Mjolnir as the Mighty Thor in 2014. While Thor Odinson eventually reclaimed his hammer and title, Jane once again became the Mighty Thor as part of a recent limited series. In the interim, Jane took on the mantle of Valkyrie as part of Marvel's War of the Realms event.

Natalie Portman first portrayed the MCU's version of Jane Foster in the 2011 film Thor, with the character serving as the God of Thunder's main love interest. Portman subsequently reprised her role in 2013's Thor: The Dark World, though sat out 2017's Thor: Ragnarok, with Jane and Thor having broken up off-camera. However, Portman returned to the Thor franchise for the newly-released Love and Thunder, which sees the character follow in the footsteps of her comic book counterpart and become the Mighty Thor.
