Thor: Love and Thunder has reportedly added a mysterious new character to its cast.

According to The Illuminerdi, the Marvel Cinematic Universe film is adding a supporting character named Zappa. Marvel Studios is looking to cast a young black male between the ages of 11 and 12 for the role, who is described as "intelligent, fearless, mature, with a good sense of humor." He appears to be a brand new character not based on a comic book counterpart, however, that could be a misdirection from the secretive studio.

Zappa is the latest mysterious character to join the cast of the film. Christian Bale is set to play an unknown villain and the Valkyrie Mist is also rumored to appear. The movie will also welcome some familiar faces to the Thor franchise, as a number of the Guardians of the Galaxy are expected to play a role.

Written and directed by Taika Waititi, Thor: Love and Thunder stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie and Natalie Portman as Jane Foster. The film arrives in theaters Feb. 18, 2022.
