UPDATE: The original tweet serving as the source for this story has been deleted. The poster image is included below.

UPDATE 2: Thor: Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi has seemingly confirmed that this is, in fact, not an official poster for the film.

A new poster for Thor: Love and Thunder has surfaced online, showing off new suits for the Gods of Thunder in the film.

In what appears to be a licensed merchandise poster for the film posted on Twitter, Chris Hemsworth's Thor can seen sporting a new super suit, containing more gold and blue elements than what has been seen before. In the top-right corner, while fans are given a glimpse at the god's new punk rock attire as well, Natalie Portman's Jane Foster is prominently featured in all her lightning-charged glory, along with a facial profile highlighting her newfound powers for the film. Other familiar faces, like Korg and Valkyrie, and goats are also featured.

A merchandise poster for Thor: Love and Thunder appears in a store.

This is obviously not the first new suit that Thor has received in the MCU, being that the character has appeared in eight Marvel Cinematic Universe films to date, beginning with Thor and most recently featured in Avengers: Endgame (unless you also include Hemsworth's voice being lent to Throg in Loki). After Endgame featured a very different physique for the god, the poster shows him back to a very ripped state, one that Hemsworth's body double has previously mentioned being difficult to match. Of course, Hemsworth will not be the only thunder god in the film.

Portman will be returning to the MCU in Love and Thunder for the first time since her last appearance in Thor: The Dark World (being that Endgame only included unused footage of her from the sequel). The actor has discussed bulking up herself for Foster's new superhero role, inspired by the character's time as the Mighty Thor in Marvel Comics. While showing Portman in her new super-powered state, lightning crackling from her eyes, the poster also features returning Thor characters and some plucked from mythology.

Korg (Taika Waititi) and Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) are shown, with the Kronan having a new Norse culture-inspired look and Valkyrie riding her pegasus from Endgame. However, the lower half of the poster also shows the quartet riding a chariot pulled by two goats. These goats can be none other than Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjóstr, Thor's two goats from Norse mythology who lead his chariot throughout the realms.

However, absent from the poster entirely is the upcoming film's big bad, Gorr the God Butcher. Gorr will be portrayed by actor Christian Bale, who has been seen in set images in a very comic-accurate look when compared to writer Jason Aaron and artist Esad Ribić's work creating the character.

Thor: Love and Thunder strikes theaters on July 8, 2022.
