The upcoming third issue of Marvel Comics' Jane Foster & The Mighty Thor proves that while Mjolnir is cool, it's hard to top a flaming sword.

Marvel has provided CBR with an official preview for Jane Foster & The Mighty Thor #3, which is set to hit comic shops this coming Wednesday, Aug. 10. The book comes from writer Torunn Grønbekk, artist Michael Dowling, colorist Jesus Aburtov and letterer Joe Sabino.

In the preview, Jane Foster/Mighty Thor takes Mjolnir into battle against S'ym, though is quickly disarmed. In her moment of need, Jane's all-weapon, Undrjarn, bonds and melts into the promethium arrowhead in her hand, taking the form of a massive, flaming sword -- which makes for quite the equalizer.

Once a Thor, Always a Thor

A longtime member of Thor's supporting cast, Jane Foster succeeded Odinson as the God of Thunder when the latter was deemed unworthy to wield Mjolnir. During her own time wielding the legendary hammer, Jane came to be known as the Mighty Thor. While her time as Thor eventually came to an end, leaving Odinson to reclaim his title as the God of Thunder, Jane later took up the mantle of Valkyrie as part of the War of the Realms event. By the events of Jane Foster & The Mighty Thor, Thor Odinson has become All-Father of Asgard. When Thor goes missing, however, Jane Foster is called upon to pick up Mjolnir once again.
