Superhero Hype provides translation for this Swedish news site (itself a repost from another Swedish news outlet called TT Spektra) which reports the casting of Stellan Skarsgård. Unfortunately, the actor could not reveal what role he will be playing. Except a formal announcement from stateside trade papers soon.

Ryan Reynolds appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last week. The host asked him about the film. Reynolds mentioned he is "four or five months" from shooting. Latino Review was kind enough to set up a clip from Fallon's show concerning Reynolds's superhero futures.

According to Variety, Mandeville Films has picked up the rights to the Com.x series. Variety describes the project as "as a political thriller that revolves around a super-soldier known as "the American," who discovers the sinister truth of the government program that created him and is forced to take on the rest of his super-powered team." MTV News initially broke the story late Friday during Long Beach Comic-Con.

Entertainment Weekly has a new photo from the film featuring a suited-up Tony in a donut shop.

Comingsoon.net reports actor Walton Goggins, best known as Shane Vendrell on "The Shield," has been cast in the film. This is an unconfirmed report, but considering what is already known about the film, Goggins is a good fit for the film which pits six ruthless people against a planet of Predators.
