Thor may not be worthy of lifting Mjolnir anymore, but that will not stop him any further. As part of Marvel's 'fresh start' direction, the Odinson has reclaimed the title of God of Thunder, and he is embarking on a adventure across all ten realms to collect ancient artifacts that were lost in the destruction of the Asgardians' home.

The first stop on his list his Midgard, aka Earth. But what should have been a run of the mill, simple retrieval mission is bound to turn into a super-powered slugfest with the arrival of classic X-Men villain, the Unstoppable Juggernaut.

In the preview for next Wednesday's new Thor #1, the God of Thunder does his best impression of Indiana Jones by running out of a temple in jungles of Thailand, being chased by angry worshipers. Thor is on the hunt for the Warlocke's Eye, which fell in possession of a cult of cannibals who worship the demon Cyttorak. But these cannibals are not without their champion: thanks to the Eye, which enables the power of mind control to its wielder, the worshipers summon their defender, the Juggernaut.

Thor fresh start Juggernaut

On the heels of the X-Men villain's major role in Fox's Deadpool 2, the Juggernaut makes a splash by being pitted against one of the biggest stars of Avengers: Infinity War. But to see how this massive, potentially Earth-shattering confrontation shakes out, you'll just have to pick up the issue when it's released.
