Thor, the God of Thunder, is unquestionably not only one of Earth’s mightiest heroes, but one of the most powerful forces for good throughout the whole universe. Born from Odin and Gaea, the Goddess of he Earth, Thor was actually conceived to be the strongest Asgardian of all time. It was intended for him to be the protector of not only Asgard, but also all the Nine Realms and true to form, Thor Odinson proved mightier than anyone anticipated.

He’s immortal, imperious to the majority of earthly weapons, and he’s one of the greatest fighters of any age. He’s walked in the Sun with zero discomfort, withstood bombs capable of destroying planets (while unconscious), and even his soul has proved too strong for Mephisto (the devil) to control. Add to that the fact that Thor is armed with the enchanted hammer Mjolnir, and the list of Thor’s powers keep going. Mjolnir can control the weather on a global (or sometimes universal) scale, rain down lighting, create portals, fly at faster-than-light speeds, discharge massive energy attacks, and lets Thor time travel whenever he wants. Today at CBR we’re looking at some of Thor’s most impressive and OP physical feats of strength!

20 HELD UP A SKYSCRAPER

The Mongoose is one of Thor’s more lackluster villains. Originally a mongoose that was experimented on by the High Evolutionary, Mongoose (as he’d come to call himself) was turned into a human-sized, bi-pedal, fully sentient creature. At one point, after a series of crime sprees had proved unsuccessful, Mongoose answered to a hit that had been taken out on Thor. Yet Mongoose was, and is, nowhere near Thor’s level of power. Granted, he’s strong enough to lift ten tons, is remarkably agile, and can run up buildings, but that’s nothing compared to Thor.

He ends up attacking Thor at his workplace, which happened to be at the construction site of a skyscraper. Assaulted while in his human guise, Sigurd Jarlson, Thor gets thrown off the building and is saved by Spider-Man, who happens to be swinging by. As Spider-Man confronts Mongoose, Jarlson changes into Thor. The two heroes quickly overpower the villain. Realizing he’s about to lose, Mongoose flees and destroys a couple of the skyscraper’s support pillars while he escapes. Thor quickly jumps under the massive building, summoning his might to hold up the millions of tons worth of steel and glass, while everyone heads to safety. In the meantime, Spider-Man does his part, constructing some makeshift support columns, which then allows Thor to let go of the skyscraper.

19 PUSHED THE WORLDENGINE

Pushing an engine, even one with a fancy name, might not sound terribly impressive, but just hold on for a moment while we review what’s going on. To better understand the feat of Thor pushing the World Engine, it’s important to understand Yggdrasill. Also referred by as the World Tree, it maintains the appearance of an actual gigantic tree, but is in fact the cosmic pillar that guides time, destiny, and nature for not only Asgard, but all the Nine Realms. Nearly every planet is connected to the World Tree in some way. Essentially, it’s linked to all the realms, past and present, and shares the weight of every planet it’s connected to.

As for the Worldengine, it was a device connected to the World Tree that could trick the World Tree into thinking Ragnarok had already occurred. However, the mechanism ended up breaking and started tapping into Yggdrasil’s power, directing it to actual fulfill Ragnarok. After getting wind of what’s happening, Thor steps in -- though he’s actually in a weakened state at the time the events are unfolding. In fighting against the wheel of the Worldengine, Thor would be fighting against the combined power of the Tree and the Engine itself, but Thor does not care and fights against the impossible. He pushes the Worldengine and the World Tree back into place, which is the equivalent of pushing all the realms back into their intended alignments.

18 ACCIDENTALLY KNOCKED OUT NAMOR

In both the real world and also in the universe of comic books, there are few people in the history of mankind worse than Adolf Hitler. The man who paved the way for World War II and inhuman atrocities, it certainly stands to reason that many people have forgotten the time that Thor teamed up with the mad tyrant. No, it wasn’t any kind of mind-control that convinced the God of Thunder to fight for the Nazis, but it was Hitler manipulating the thunder god. The only thing Hitler had to do was talk about Teutonic glory and how he wanted the rest of the world to be full of blond-haired supermen like Thor. Thor was totally okay with this plan, and Hitler took it up a notch, saying the only forces who could oppose them is the Invaders. In The Invaders #32 and #33, Thor ends up killing Josef Stalin at Hitler’s request and almost destroys Captain America and his troupe of heroes.

Right before Thor kills Stalin, the Invaders try to stop him. During the fight, Namor tackles the thunder god and Thor hits Namor harder than he intended, accidentally knocking him out. For reference, Namor has fought the Sentry and the Hulk on occasion, and even beaten the latter. Thankfully, it doesn’t take much longer for Thor to realize whom the real villain is and he joins the good guys once again.

17 RIPPED APART MILLIONS OF TONS OF EARTH

During the Marvel event known as "Acts of Vengeance," Loki has gotten fed up with all the superheroes running around. He schemes to destroy the Avengers and all of Earth’s heroes, once and for all, but realizes he needs help. Recruiting multiple supervillains he dubs The Prime Movers, Loki’s team is made up of Doctor Doom, the Red Skull, Magneto, Wizard, Kingpin, and the Mandarin, and each of them is then tasked with fighting heroes they normally don’t interact with. The idea is that if, for example, Captain America is constantly defeating the Red Skull, then Doctor Doom will fight Captain America or enlist another heavy hitter to fight the Avenger. The plan is actually pretty solid and in the hands of anyone outside of villains, it would work. Many heroes are caught off guard and only survive by the skin of their teeth. If the planned continued, the baddies would’ve won.

Though The Prime Movers are able to get along, their alliance is temporary and it doesn’t take long for their group to fall apart and for its members to turn on one another. Finally, Loki is the last villain standing and the Avengers, having caught on to his scheme, pursue the evil god. Thor opens a chasm of earth, which Loki falls into, only to then literally pull the earth back together again. Moments later, Thor explains he just ripped apart and sealed Loki under millions of tons of debris.

16 BROKE ADAMANTIUM CABLES

Out of all the materials in the Marvel Universe, the most notorious, and arguably the most powerful, is the metal known as adamantium. A virtually indestructible man-made metal alloy, adamantium is the stuff that coats Wolverine’s bones and makes him unbreakable and combined with his healing factor, Wolverine is nearly unbeatable. Pure adamantium is so powerful that beings like the Hulk can barely even dent it, much less break it. Villains like Ultron are known for constructing their bodies out of the material, making them virtually impervious to all harm.

However, in The Mighty Thor #309, the God of Thunder proves more than up for the task. As the issue begins, some high-tech thugs, known as the Bombardiers, are in a highly advanced flying vehicle and destroy a building, resulting in a loss of life. Doctor Donald Blake, Thor’s civilian identity, decides to investigate the matter. Eventually, Thor comes across the villains and knocks them out of the sky. When the criminals come out of their ship, they do so with jetpacks on their backs and all manner of offensive weaponry. One of their weapons is a bunch of wraparound rockets, made of adamantium, which ensnare Thor like snaking cables. Momentarily confused by the strength of the cables, Thor regains his senses when he realizes innocents are in jeopardy because of their battle. Then, just by flexing, Thor breaks free of the adamantium cables.

15 KNOCKED OUT THE PHOENIX FORCE

During the Marvel event "AvX", the Avengers are locked in battle with the X-Men over the fate of Hope Summers. For you see, the Phoenix Force is headed to Earth and Hope is the cosmic entity’s intended target. Knowing the history of the Phoenix and how it tends to destroy planets, Captain America wants to keep Hope as far away from it as possible. On the other hand, Cyclops wants Hope to be possessed by the Phoenix, as he sees it as a chance for mutants to prosper.

While Captain America and the Avengers end up battling the X-Men on Earth, Cap has sent a team of heroes, including Thor, Beast, War Machine, Ms. Marvel, and a couple others, to try and fight the Phoenix off in space. The Phoenix is the embodiment of all psychic energy from the past, present, and future -- it's a literal god, capable of eating worlds in seconds and anyone possessed by the Phoenix Force is, by all mortal standards, divine. When Captain America’s god squad encounters the Phoenix, the cosmic bird easily incapacitates everyone until only Thor is left. In one final act of desperation, Thor throws Mjolnir with all his strength. The blow is so powerful that it knocks out the Phoenix, something never before seen. The victory is short-lived, as the Phoenix quickly recovers, and moves on to Earth.

14 CRACKED A CELESTIAL'S SKULL

First appearing in The Mighty Thor #387, Exitar the Exterminator is prone to destroying worlds completely. A member of the Celestial race, a group of planet-sized aliens known for exploding worlds with the flick of a finger, Exitar is often summoned by Arishem the Judge (another Celestial), when the decision has been made that a planet needs to be purified, which involves blowing up the world. One of the most powerful Celestials to ever exist, there are few sentient beings as mighty as Exitar -- resisting him is a futile gesture.

At least it’s a futile gesture for anyone other than Thor. While on the planet Pangoria, Thor notices the Celestials have arrived and are about to destroy the world. The God of Thunder refuses to see a world full of innocents be ripped apart and takes the fight to Exitar. Flying up on the largest Celestial’s head, Thor summons every ounce of strength and delivers his mightiest blow. The impact from his strike sends shockwaves miles around, reducing mountains and buildings to dust. In spite of it, Exitar is undeterred. Still, Thor managed to crack the Celestial’s skull, something no mortal has accomplished. His job undone, Thor enters Exitar’s head and performs another of his all-time greatest feats: Tying his Belt of Power around Mjolnir to focus his energies, Thor unleashes his God Blast, hitting Exitar’s brain with the all of his lifeforce. The attack is so phenomenal that Exitr, the most power Celestial, is staggered.

13 KNOCKED GALACTUS OVER

In The Mighty Thor series from 2011, a giant geyser of power has erupted from Yggdrasil, the World Tree. The light and power that has burst forth is acting like a beacon of extraordinary power. Knowing that anyone and everyone with a hunger for power might be attracted to the light, like moths to a flame, Odin sends Thor into the portal to retrieve the Worldheart, a kind of seed that was born from the power and holds incalculable energy as it is the soul of the All-God. Thor does retrieve it, but it doesn’t take long for Odin and Asgard to realize that another wants it: Galactus.

The Silver Surfer appears and instructs the Asgardians to hand it over. They refuse and Silver Surfer relays the message to his master. Galactus, unsurprised, decides to go to war with Asgard. Throughout the battle, Odin decides to take on Galactus, while Thor takes care of the Silver Surfer. However, the thunder god can see that unless drastic steps are taken, Galactus and his father will be locked in a stalemate. In an effort to assist Odin, Thor evades the Silver Surfer and flies directly into Galactus’s head. The explosion knocks out Thor and goes so far as to throw Galactus, one of the mightiest beings in the Marvel Universe, off-balance. This would be neither the first nor the last time Thor would accomplish send Galactus tumbling.

12 DESTROYED A PLANET WITH A SINGLE BLOW

Everyone has bad days, but not quite like Thor. In "Blood and Thunder," Thor comes down with a bad case of Warrior’s Madness. The condition is being brought on by the Mind Valkyrie, who urges the God of Thunder to tear apart not only Asgard, but the entire universe. The weird things is that the Mind Valkyrie is actually the manifestation of Thor’s subconscious given form, which makes things peculiar as Thor kisses the Mind Valkyrie later on.

Anyway, Lady Sif and Beta Ray Bill are the first of Thor’s friends to find the thunder god, discovering he’s hanging out on some distant world. Sif tries to talk sense into Thor and Thor responds by attacking her and slapping her aside. Unable to sit back any longer, Beta Ray Bill enters the fight. Though usually Bill’s strength is on par with Thor’s, the horse-headed cyborg is no match for Thor and his fury. As their battle reaches its climax, Thor has Bill pinned beneath him and strikes his fallen friend with enough force to complete destroy the planet they are both standing on. With Thor victorious, he goes off to cause chaos elsewhere. Bill pleads to Sif to recruit more help and she gathers the Infinity Watch, made up of Drax the Destoyer, herself, and a couple other cosmic heroes, to stop Thor.

11 DEFEATED MANGOG AND THANOS BACK-TO-BACK

Thanos, the Mad Titan, is one of the most feared beings in the Marvel Universe. With strength beyond measure, just his name is enough to cause most civilizations to cower. Born from the species known as the Eternals, Thanos was an anomaly to his people. A mutant of sorts, he was born with the deviant gene, which not only made his physiology unique, but also granted him with powers far above anything his people were known for. Then you have the monster known as Mangog. Mangog is the physical embodiment of an entire race that was killed by Odin and channels the strength of a billion billion being. Physically stronger than either Odin or Thor, it’s a miracle anyone has stopped him.

During Dan Jurgens’ run on Thor, Thanos is questing after the Chalice of Tears and the Map Of All-Ending to destroy the universe. Mangog likes the plan and teams up with Thanos. For whatever reason, Thor is the only one to oppose both of them. In a fight where Thor uses every ounce of power, he performs such feats as beating Mangog by ramming Mjolnir down the monster’s throat and unleashing a massive energy blast, withstanding a blast from Thanos capable of destroying a planet, and then going on to defeat the Mad Titan himself. Armed with the Belt of Power and every utility device that’s popped up over the years to boost his power, Thor increases his own might to impossible levels and defeats two of his greatest foes back-to-back.

10 HELD UP ASGARD

The event "Secret Invasion" featured the alien shapeshifting race known as the Skrulls, and how they’d infiltrated nearly every branch of superhero team and government. When our heroes realized anyone could be a Skrull, trust ran in short supply. For their part, the Skrulls had endowed themselves with the abilities of all of Earth’s heroes, in an attempt to become powerful enough to defeat anyone who might oppose them, and this included Thor.

The Skrulls invaded Asgard, which happened to be floating just a few feet above the ground of Arizona, realizing they needed to defeat the gods if they wanted to conquer the planet. In the mini-series Secret Invasion: Thor, Beta Ray Bill crash-lands on Asgard, warning that the Skrulls are about to invade. Shortly thereafter, the aliens attack and chaos ensues as Asgard’s finest battle the Super-Skrulls. When it looks like the Asgardians might be winning, the shapeshifters unleash their ultimate Super-Skrull, one bred to destroy Thor and who carries Stormbreaker, Bill’s famous weapon. A literal godkiller, the Skrull demolishes the Warriors Three and Beta Ray Bill before Thor arrives. As the battle intensifies, Thor orders Asgard itself to fall on the Skrull, while he and Bill are underneath. All of Asgard does, crushing the monster, but not Thor and Beta Ray Bill, as the two actually hold up Asgard.

9 RESISTED THE GRAVITATIONAL PULL OF A NEUTRON STAR

Over the years, Thor has demonstrated what it truly means to wield the power of a god. In The Mighty Thor #281, the thunder god is ruminating over a recent encounter he had with the Eternals and the Celestials. In order to learn the true nature of the Celestials, Thor makes the choice to travel back in time, so that he can witness their origins.

Using Mjolnir, Thor divides the timestream (which is itself an impressive accomplishment) and attempts to travel to the past. Instead of going to his intended destination however, Thor accidentally ends up in limbo, loses his hammer, and comes face to face with the Space Phantom. The Space Phantom says that Thor’s hammer is likely on the former’s homeworld and that they must journey to the center of the planet to retrieve it. Thor agrees, but the one thing he didn’t count on was being attacked by the planet’s inhabitants and their advanced technology. Going through wave after wave of assailants, and after creating a makeshift hammer by literally molding an alien tank with his bare hands, Thor’s enemies unleash a series of graviton bombs. Thor is immediately bombarded with the force of a neutron star, the gravity of which is 200 billion times that of Earth! Encased in debris that’s also under the same pressure, it only takes a few moments for Thor to break free!

8 BROKE FREE FROM THE WEIGHT OF 20 PLANETS

If Thor is going to be surviving the gravitational pressure of a neutron star, then you can bet he’s also going to withstand the combined weight of 20 planets. In Thor Annual #9, Thor is riding the high seas with his fellow Asgardians when they are suddenly attacked by a group of giant serpents. Thor is injured during the fight and when he regains consciousness, he’s in Asgard, but things seem peculiar. For some reason, Thor cannot understand why nobody else can see that the world around them has altered. In seeking answers, he heads to Odin’s chamber where he suddenly witnesses the All-Father locked in an intense game of chess with the powerful demon Dormammu. All the while, the cosmic beings Chaos and Order are observing the match. To aid his father, Thor travels to the Dark Dimension to sever Dormammu’s connection to Asgard.

When Thor arrives, he first battles a wide assortment of demons, before finally coming across Umar, a sorceress who’s a longtime enemy of Dr. Strange and is as powerful as Loki. Their battle grows fiercer with each passing second until Umar catches Thor in an energy field that has the constricting strength equal to the weight of 20 planets. Enraged, Thor breaks free of the restraints and defeats her.

7 PUNCHED A DIMENSIONAL RIFT

Though Thor gets top billing when it comes to godly superheroes in the Marvel Universe, he’s hardly the only divine champion on the planet. The son of Zeus, Hercules is a demigod and practically the equal to the God of Thunder. Capable of fighting Thor and even the Hulk, Hercules is also one of the most powerful members of the Avengers. Carrying over from the previous issue, Avengers #100 featured an amnesiac Hercules getting captured by the god Ares. The Avengers bring back many former members to aid in dealing with the threat. After learning about the nature of their predicament, the Avengers make their way over to Mt. Olympus in order to fight Ares. The group splits into tow, with one group staying on Earth to combat Ares’ invaders, and the other goes to Olympus to free Hercules. Among the heroes sent to Olympus is Thor.

Finally the heroes are able to free Hercules, with Thor using his trusty hammer to break the chains that hold the demigod. Now having to return to Earth, Thor and company come across the interdimensional gateway through which Ares’ forces invaded. The Avengers cross over, but Hercules stays on Olympus. Before they part ways, Thor and Hercules, realizing they need to close the gateway, each deliver a punch to the portal, their blows impacting upon part of the universe itself, closing the rift.

6 LEG-PRESSED A MILLION TONS

Among the strongest and most dangerous foes Thor has ever faced is the Destroyer armor. Though barely sentient, the armor was created by Odin and the other pantheons of Earth. They knew that one day they would have to battle the Fourth Host of Celestials, so they forged forge the ultimate weapon. Made out of a mystery metal stronger than uru, the metal that makes up Mjolinir, Odin and company fueled the armor with their magic. Made completely invulnerable, the Destroyer became known as being capable of destroying anything, gods included.

Since the Destroyer is such an awesome weapon, many have sought to take control of it. Whenever this happens, Thor is forced to battle the armor, and each time he barely survives. Incapable of feeling pain, and meant to withstand the worst attacks the Celestials could inflict, Thor can barely put a dent in the Destroyer. In Journey Into Mystery #118, a big game hunter comes across the Destroyer armor in the Temple of Darkness and inadvertently sets it free, his mind waking the weapon. Now unleashed, it’s up to Thor to put the Destroyer back in the ground. Their battle continues into Journey Into Mystery #119, and Thor is becoming more and more desperate. In one instance, Thor gets to the top of a temple and leg-presses a million-ton arch of solid rock down onto his foe. Though the feat is impressive, it doesn’t even faze the Destroyer.

5 THREW A PLANET OUT OF ORBIT BY ARM-WRESLTING

Even though Thor and Hercules are friends, the two are also staunch rivals. While fans constantly debate about whether the Hulk or Thor is stronger, there’s another group of readers who pontificate on whether Hercules, the Prince of Power, is mightier than Thor, the God of Thunder. The two have battled each other multiple times and in each instance their fights are typically paused or halted become of some contrived reason. Rarely do we get to see the outcome of their battles.

Thor #400 featured a somewhat comical side-story in which the two living legends finally got to try and determine who was the mightier. Written by Tom DeFalco and Ron Frenz, the tale featured Thor and Hercules standing high atop a plateau on a far-off planet, where they would arm-wrestle one another to finally put an end to the question about who was stronger. The two gods arm-wrestle with everything they have until the plateau they are on crumbles under the force of the pressure they’re applying. Yet still, neither Thor nor Hercules relinquishes their grasp and continues to arm-wrestle as they plummet to the ground. Upon landing, they maintain the contest -- only now the match has become so impressive that the two have generated enough pressure to knock the whole world out of orbit. With the narrators saying that the two could go on forever, because of their immortality, the comic ends with the two still arm-wrestling, the winner not decided.

4 DESTROYED THE SILVER SURFER'S FORCE FIELD

Because after a while Loki realized he couldn’t defeat Thor on his own, he would occasionally enlist or trick other to do his bidding. In Silver Surfer #4, Loki convinces the Silver Surfer that Thor is a danger that needs to be stopped. To those unfamiliar with the Silver Surfer, he is the herald of Galactus and imbued with the Power Cosmic. With neigh unlimited power, the Silver Surfer’s abilities and powers are nearly unparalleled amongst mortals.

Later in their respective superhero careers, Thor and Silver Surfer would meet many more times. As this was their first encounter, Silver Surfer only had Loki’s word that Thor was evil and Thor only knew that the chrome surfer was attacking him. Long story short, Loki tricks the two heroes into doing battle and as two of the strongest heroes in Marvel, there battle is as epic as you’d imagine. The Silver Surfer eventually proves victorious, but realizes Loki boosted his power. Thor, for his part, can see a scheme from his brother a mile away and was actually holding back the entire time because of it. In the midst of their battle the Silver Surfer surrounds Thor’s hammer with an impenetrable force field, but as their battle ends and Thor doesn’t have to hold back anymore, he easily shatters the Surfer’s shield, much to the latter’s surprise.

3 LIFTED THE WORLD SERPENT

The World Serpent, or Jormungand, is the son of Loki and the sorceress Angerboda. Odin banished the creature to the bottom of the ocean, but of course the Midgard Serpent came back, hungry for some sweet revenge. Among the singularly largest foes Thor has ever stared down, the Midgard Serpent is also one of the most powerful and horrifying creatures in the universe. Divine in its nature, the Serpent has vast and virtually limitless power. It cannot be hurt or stopped by conventional means and his mere movements are enough to cause tidal waves and earthquakes -- he can cast illusions, is incredibly intelligent, and is immortal.

In The Mighty Thor #327, the god Tyr, displeased with the way Odin has been running Asgard, decides it’s time for someone else to rule. Recruiting Loki to his side, the war god unleashes the World Serpent, sending it to Earth where it promptly wraps around the planet. As Tyr’s forces battle Odin and the rest of Asgard, it’s up to Thor to content with one of the largest creatures in the entire universe. Wrapping around the Earth twice, the creature is nearly 900 miles wide. The sheer weight of the Serpent is uncertain, but at the very least, it’s not in the billions of tons, rather its weight is in the trillions of tons.

2 PUSHED OVER THE LEANING TOWER OF PISA WITH ONE FINGER

While these days Loki is looked on as something of the occasional villain turned hero and back again (however a particular situation fits him) back in the early days of Journey Into Mystery, Loki was unequivocally a bad guy. Constantly trying to find ways to defeat Thor, the God of Evil resorted to all manner of tricks. In Journey Into Mystery #94, Thor is busy saving the world and Loki (while held in prison) uses his magic to make Thor think he’s fighting a dragon. The thunder god immediately throws his hammer at the creature, but it’s merely a projection. However, this distracts Thor long enough so that when his hammer returns, it hits him in the head. As Loki watches from afar, he brags about how he timed the incident perfectly so that the hammer hit Thor’s chromosomatic gland (which apparently determines changes in personality). Thor immediately goes to rescue his brother, while all of Asgard, including Odin, realizes Thor is bewitched but can’t do anything about it.

So Thor and Loki go gallivanting on Earth, causing all sorts of mischief. In one instance, Thor pushes over the Leaning Tower of Pisa with just one finger. The tower is 14,500 tons, and Thor performs this feat with absolutely zero effort. If that’s how much body he has in just his pinky, it’s frightening to consider how much strength courses through his whole body. And don’t worry, Thor got better.

1 MATCHED THE HULK'S STRENGTH FOR AN HOUR

The biggest superhero rivalry in all of Marvel Comics is unequivocally Thor versus the Hulk. One is the God of Thunder and son of Odin, the other is a gamma-irradiated rage monster that gets stronger the madder he gets. Both have demonstrated feats that go well beyond mortal understanding. While the exploits of Thor and the Hulk have become more extraordinary over the years, their rivalry isn’t as pronounced as it used to be. Back in 1973, it was another matter entirely. Even before the two first met back in Avengers #3, fans wanted to know who was stronger. Sal Buscema and Steve Englehart attempted to provide a satisfactory answer in even Defenders #10. In an event featuring the Avengers battling the Defenders, the two teams chase after pieces of a mystic artifact called the Evil Eye. Towards the end of the event, the Hulk and Thor run into each other and start fighting. At this point, Hulk is nearly stronger than ever in his “savage” mode.

The two fight each other with everything they have until eventually the pair grab hands, locked in mortal combat, either unwilling to budge an inch. It’s one of the most iconic scenes in Marvel Comics, as the two heroes remained effectively frozen for an entire hour, their muscles straining as they try and overpower one another. Alas, a winner would not be decided and the battle ended in a draw.
