Images featuring merchandise for Marvel Studios' upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder have surfaced, providing audiences with the best look yet at both Thor and Jane Foster's new costumes.

The figures show the titular Asgardian don a new blue and gold costume, once again wielding Stormbreaker, which he received in Avengers: Infinity War and used to battle Thanos and his forces in Avengers: Endgame. But there's a new God of Thunder in town-- Jane Foster will become a superhero in the Love and Thunder, armed with the power of Thor and Mjolnir, which the figure shows has been repaired since being crushed by Hela, the Goddess of Death.

These new looks have been teased before, though not through action figures. The costumes previously appeared in promotional artwork for Thor: Love and Thunder that leaked online. In addition, leaked images also provided audiences with a glimpse at Valkyrie's new costume in the upcoming film.

Beyond Jane Foster's brief appearance in Avengers: Endgame -- which made use of unused footage from previous films -- Natalie Portman's character last appeared in 2013's Thor: The Dark World, though Portman did return to voice Jane for the animated What If...? series on Disney+.

Portman's return to the franchise was announced at Comic-Con in 2019, where she appeared on stage and teased her transformation into Thor, as the character did in the comics, holding the mantle for several years, beginning with Thor #1 (written by Jason Aaron, illustrated by Russell Dauterman and Matthew Wilson, with letter Joe Sabino) in 2014.

While the details of the film have been kept under wraps, Portman previously teased, "It's based on the graphic novel of the Mighty Thor. She's going through cancer treatment and is a superhero on the side." For context, Foster's transformation followed the Original Sin event, which saw Thor become unworthy of his power and unable to wield Mjolnir. Foster, who was battling cancer, responded to a call from the hammer itself and was able to pick it up, thus gaining the power of Thor.

The upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film will introduce more than one new god to the franchise, with Christian Bale set to debut as Gorr the God Butcher and Russell Crowe reportedly playing the Greek god Zeus. As if that weren't enough, the film is also rumored to feature an appearance by the god Bast, who MCU fans might recognize as a god important to Wakanda and the Black Panther.

Thor: Love and Thunder is scheduled to arrive in theaters July 8.
