The following article contains spoilers for Thor: Love and Thunder, in theaters now.

While Thor: Love and Thunder clocked in at two hours, the movie did pack a lot in. It had a big cast while tending to many arcs such as Thor's recovery, Jane Foster's cancer and role as the Mighty Thor and Gorr wanting all Gods dead. But all roads eventually led to the heroes engaging in a brutal fight against the God Butcher in the finale.

Interestingly, it came to light that some key appearances got cut from Taika Waititi's movie after filming. Jeff Goldblum's Grandmaster didn't make the final cut, as well as Peter Dinklage's Eitri, the King of the Dwarves from Avengers: Infinity War. However, while the movie seemed like it didn't need them, these two cameos, in particular, could have filled in a massive plot hole concerning Gorr.

Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher in Thor: Love & THunder

It involves Gorr's mission after he took up the Necrosword and vowed to slice up all gods. Thor went to Zeus for help, only to get told Gorr was instead searching for Eternity, who would grant him one wish and make it easier for him to murder every god. However, the film never indicated where Gorr found out about this deus ex machina. Instead, it seemed like the Necrosword was the weapon of mass destruction, which left fans wondering how Gorr got intel to shift gears to this new twist. Well, the existence of two all-knowing figures would certainly have tied into this.

Seeing as the Grandmaster knows so much, as he and his brother, the Collector, were born just after the Marvel Cinematic Universe formed, it stands to reason his role may have been to spill info on the well. After all, he's the kind of guy willing to trade secrets to survive, and it would tie into him being an important figure in the MCU. As for Eitri, the blacksmith worked on Mjolnir, the Infinity Gauntlet and Stormbreaker. Thus, Grandmaster could have sent Gorr after Eitri, as he would have had insight into the key and the temple itself. Seeing as the temple had statues of the Watcher, Living Tribunal and Death, Eitri and his kind may well have worked on the temple's structure, as well as the lock for the portal.

And Gorr torturing and killing Eitri to maintain silence may have sent him onto the next clue: the Shadow Realm. There, undisturbed in his quest, the villain would verify the Bifrost power was necessary to continue the mission. As such, the story would have become stronger, informing why Gorr would kidnap New Asgard's kids to lure Thor in and get to the well.

To see where the Grandmaster and Eitri could have fit in, Thor: Love and Thunder is now in theaters.
