Lady, half of Disney's eponymous canine couple from Lady and the Tramp, officially has her human owners.

Thomas Mann, best known for appearing in last year's Kong: Skull Island and 2013's Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, will play Jim Dear in the upcoming live-action remake of the classic Disney film. Mann joins Kiersey Clemons who plays his wife, Darling, as owners of Lady in the new film.

In the original 1955 animated film, Dear is responsible for the couple temporarily disowning Lady after mistakingly accusing the dog of causing their newborn daughter distress instead of a pair of trouble-making Siamese cats.

Mann is the latest cast addition to the live-action adaptation with Justin Theroux being the first actor to join the production as the voice of the titular Tramp last month. The remake was officially announced by Disney this past March and is expected to be a blend of live-action and CGI animals similar to 2016's live-action remake of The Jungle Book.
