This May Be No Country For Old Men, But There's Room For Glee

Javier Bardem has kept a relatively low profile since securing an Oscar for his performance in No Country for Old Men, but the Spanish actor is changing all of that very soon with a surprising career move — a guest stint on Fox's Glee.

Michael Ausiello reports that Bardem will star as a Spanish rock star who befriends Artie (Kevin McHale) in the forthcoming second season. According to the report, Bardem pitched the idea directly to Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy while working together on the Julia Roberts-starring Eat Pray Love this summer.

“We’re going to rock the house,” said Bardem, apparently a big Glee fan. “We’re going to do some heavy metal — Spanish heavy metal, which is the worst.”

If only Bardem was showing up in full-blown Anton Chigurh regalia, complete with bad haircut and ready to sing a few tunes. Now that would be a guest star role worth getting psyched over!
