Getting geared up for the premiere of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, German inventor Patrick Priebe has created a working, flip-open Batarang that not only does a number on reinforced foam and an unsuspecting melon, but could also put a few criminals in the hospital.

Sleekly designed, with bat wing-shaped blades that open with the press of the disc at the center, this Batarang isn't just for show. As the video below demonstrates, it can be thrown with deadly accuracy.

Priebe has also posted a how-to video that's probably a bit advanced for casual Bat-fans. However, would-be vigilantes may find it invaluable to expanding their arsenals.
