My Hero Academia now has two movies for fans to enjoy: Two Heroes and Heroes Rising. And while neither of these films has any direct impact on the anime's story going forward, both add interesting new layers to the characters and abilities fans have come to love from watching the series. The first filmTwo Heroes, gave viewers some insight into All Might's backstory -- and it let fans spend some more time with the students of Class 1-A.

As with the anime, both movies include plenty of small details that serve to enhance the storytelling, even if viewers hardly notice them. With Two Heroes, many of these small additions highlight themes from the anime or the characters' values, giving fans something to pick up on while they watch.

Here are 10 things fans might have missed while watching My Hero Academia: Two Heroes.

10 All Might's Jacket At The Beginning Has Cherry Blossoms On It

Cherry blossom trees have become a trademark of My Hero Academia, something that began with the show's first season. The series starts in the spring, and cherry blossom trees appear in its first season opening and in the first few episodes. This could be symbolic of Deku's new beginning as a hero, or as a new start for All for One. Whatever it means, it seems the creators clearly wanted to include it in Two Heroes.

During the flashback of All Might and David Shield fighting villains in America, All Might's jacket actually features U.A. High's motto -- "Plus Ultra" -- along with the very cherry blossoms that have become such a staple of the anime. It's a small detail that calls back to the anime's beginnings, and its inclusion suggests the creators want fans to pick up on the symbol and its possible meanings.

9 David Shield Is Hesitant When All Might First Arrives

Those watching Two Heroes for the first time likely won't think much of David Shield's stunned silence when All Might arrives, chalking it up to his surprise at seeing his old friend appear in his lab so suddenly. But after watching the film in its entirety, it becomes clear that Dave has another reason for appearing so hesitant at the sight of his old friend.

This is actually a subtle hint that Dave is up to something -- a scheme he knows All Might would never approve of. Even if Dave's actions are intended to help All Might in the end, he clearly knows he's in the wrong. It's written all over his face and evident in his body language when his friend first arrives.

8 The Film Briefly Chronicles The Different Ages Of All Might's Career

During the fourth season of My Hero Academia, fans get treated to a bit of history surrounding All Might's career, courtesy of Midoriya's first interview with Sir Nighteye. During their interaction, the Silver Age of All Might's career is referenced, but this isn't actually the first time fans hear about the timeline of All Might's career.

It's brief, but the beginning of Two Heroes actually goes through the four ages of All Might's rise to fame, chronicling the various eras and costumes the Pro Hero has cycled through. It's no in-depth exploration of his backstory, but it tells viewers something new about him.

7 Midoriya Gets A Drink Perfect For An All Might Fanboy

It's the small details that make My Hero Academia such a fun anime to watch, and those paying close attention will notice that Midoriya gets a drink perfect for an All Might fanboy during his visit to the cafe with Melissa and the other girls from his class. When Kaminari puts his glass down in front of him, there's a brief shot of an All Might-shaped object floating in it -- a fruit cut into the shape of the Number One hero, perhaps?

Given All Might's fame, this might be the norm for this restaurant -- or maybe Midoriya's friends just know how much he admires his mentor. Either way, it's pretty cool to see the Symbol of Peace garnishing a drink.

6 Melissa Might Be An All Might Fan Too

When Melissa and Midoriya get to know one another, it quickly becomes obvious the two have a lot in common. Melissa was also born quirkless, though, unlike Midoriya, she accepted her lack of superpowers early on -- and sought out a different way to make the world a better place. While she's explaining all this to her new friend, Midoriya looks at photos of Melissa and her father -- and viewers analyzing those pictures will notice Melissa has another thing in common with our main character.

In one of the pictures, Melissa is shown with her father and All Might, and she's holding an All Might plush. Could Melissa be just as much as a fangirl as Midoriya is a fanboy? It certainly seems so.

5 The Villain And All Might Have Similar Hairstyles

After double-crossing David and his assistant, Sam, Wolfram is revealed to be the main antagonist of Two Heroes. And though viewers haven't seen a villain with the ability to control metal before, they have seen Wolfram's hairstyle elsewhere.

Oddly enough, Wolfram's hair seems to mirror All Might's -- at least when it comes to the two pieces sticking up. It's unclear whether this is an intentional detail to create some kind of parallel between the two or just a coincidence, but it's interesting nonetheless.

4 There Are A Lot Of Unknown Heroes On I-Island

Upon watching Two Heroes, fans of My Hero Academia may find themselves wondering what happened to all the heroes they've met throughout the anime -- and where these new Pro Heroes are coming from. Not only are viewers introduced to Godzillo, which is clearly just meant to poke fun at Godzilla, but the villain assault on I-Island introduces several other heroes attending the I-Expo.

While none of these heroes play a large role, or are even formally introduced, they do appear in the background -- and they jump in to capture the villains when their defenses are down. Sadly, it's unlikely we'll ever see these characters again, but it does make one wonder how many other Pro Heroes are out there.

3 There's A Lot Of Quirk Research Happening On I-Island

It's hard to miss the scene during which Melissa takes Deku to I-Island's research lab, but it is easy to overlook the implications of so many scientists are performing quirk research on the island. Even when Deku and the others reach the 80th floor of I-Island's tower, they're told that scientists are conducting research on how quirks affect fauna -- but to what end?

With so much research going on, fans have to wonder whether I-Island could eventually get wrapped up in the anime's storyline about quirk-enhancing drugs -- or if the research itself will create a new subplot down the line.

2  Momo And Jiro Know About Uraraka's Crush

When Midoriya and Melissa run into Uraraka on I-Island, it's clear Midoriya's friend is jealous -- and anyone who watches the anime already knows Uraraka is harboring feelings for All Might's successor.

What's interesting, though, is that Momo and Jiro also seem to know about Uraraka's crush, despite her "putting it away" and trying to keep it a secret. Both taunt Midoriya as though they know there's something going on between him and Uraraka -- but do they really?

1 The Movie Foreshadows The Kamino Incident

Although Two Heroes was released halfway through the third season of My Hero Academia, it's set prior to the events of season three on the anime's timeline. That means the Kamino incident hasn't occurred yet when Midoriya and his friends visit I-Island -- but the film sure alludes to what's coming.

Not only does Two Heroes highlight All Might's weakening grip on One for All, but it also displays Class 1-A's struggle between following the rules and doing what's right, something that will come up again for them. The debate Midoriya and his classmates have before journeying to the control room is eerily similar to the one they have before setting out to rescue Bakugo in season three.
