They're Here (Well, Almost): 'Poltergeist' Reboot Scares Up a Trailer Teaser, Poster

Like a voice calling out from a static-filled television screen, Fox beckons you to inch closer to its Poltergeist reboot with an 18-second teaser for actual trailer, which should arrive later today.

The contemporary reimagining of Tobe Hooper's 1982 supernatural thriller centers on a family that moves into a suburban fixer-upper, only to find it's haunted by evil forces. The teaser, which opens with the warning "They're Coming," is heavy on atmosphere, with a boy shining a flashlight around his dark room as he follows a mysterious little red ball on a string.

Directed by Gil Kenan and produced by Sam Raimi, Poltergeist stars Sam Rockwell, Rosemarie DeWitt, Jared Harris, Saxon Sharbino, Jane Adams, Kyle Catlett and Kennedi Clements. It opens July 24.
