New Line Cinema wants to come and knock at our door, again.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio is in talks to adapt the 1970s sitcom "Three's Company" for the big screen. Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein ("He's Just Not That Into You") will write the screenplay.

Based on the British sitcom "Man About the House," "Three's Company" aired from 1977 to 1984 on ABC. A comedy of errors, the series centered on three single roommates, played by John Ritter, Joyce DeWitt and (originally) Suzanne Somers, who lived together in a Santa Monica, California, apartment. Ritter's character Jack Tripper had to pretend to be gay so their overbearing landlord would permit him to move in.

THR states the movie will be set in the 1970s. Hollywood veteran Robert Cort is on board to produce.
