Stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson join writer Darin Morgan in a new "X-Files" video that delves into tonight's episode, "Mulder and Scully Meet the Were-Monster."

As the title may suggest, this is a return to the more offbeat episodes of the cult series, as Mulder and Scully are killed in to investigate whether a dead body discovered in the woods was the work of an animal, a serial killer or a strange creature described by witnesses.

"It has to do, I think, both with them confronting their age and confronting their life choices," says Morgan, who wrote the classic "X-Files" episodes “Humbug,” “Clyde Bruckman’s Final Repose,” “War of the Coprophages” and “Jose Chung’s 'From Outer Space.'” "What made the show good was, we're telling these supernatural stories, but we always tried to have kind of a human element."

"The X-Files" airs tonight at 8 ET/PT on Fox.
