Disney+ will be offering another serving of The World According to Jeff Goldblum.
The docuseries will return for Season 2, according to Variety. The news comes just one week before the Season 1 finale, which will be available on Disney+ on Jan. 24. No release date was given for the second season. Season 1 premiered at Disney+'s launch on Nov. 12, 2019.
The series follows Goldblum as he travels around the world, revealing the secrets behind basic everyday objects and trends. The first season covered a brand range of topics, including sneakers, denim, RVs and ice cream.
Jeff’s genuine curiosity in the world make[s] him a natural fit for the National Geographic brand,” said Courteney Monroe, president of National Geographic Global Television Networks. “There is something special and intangible about Jeff and his fascination with the world is infectious. We’re thrilled to be able to share his humor and sensibilities to a broader audience on Disney Plus.”
The series is the first original project to come to Disney+ from National Geographic. Disney bought the nature channel from Fox on March 15, 2019.
Other Disney+ series to receive Season 2 orders include High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and The Mandalorian.
