The Wolverine Photo Reveals a Sharp-Dressed Logan

Hugh Jackman thinks he might have finally gotten Wolverine right in the upcoming James Mangold movie The Wolverine, and we're inclined to agree. Empire has officially released a new still from the movie that shows a suited Logan walking with determination. Lest you forget, the man can look good -- even with his berserker rage.

"I still don't think we've seen the definitive Wolverine," the actor told the magazine. "And the longer I play the character, the more the desire to get him right grows. The more I speak to fans and explore his world, the more it means to me. I understand the character and the legacy and I don't feel, up to this movie, that we've completely lived up to that. So that's what I intend to do."

Producer Hugh Parker, on the other hand, revealed the closest thing to a plot summary for The Wolverine since the movie was announced. It picks up after the events of X-Men: The Last Stand and doesn't find the title character in a great place.

"And what you'll come to find is that this is someone he spent prison time with in Nagasaki. And the legacy of that experience - effectively Logan saved him - is that this man is on his deathbed, and is looking to give him a gift, to thank him for the life he's had," Parker said. "But this gift draws Logan into a very complex and very unexpected world within both contemporary Japan and, to some extent, the feudal history of Japan. He's so in isolation, so out of his element. It's a much more powerful distillation of his character than you've seen before."

The Wolverine, which opens July 26, also stars Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima and Brian Tee.
