Since the Moon Knight series was announced for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans have heard next to nothing except for the odd rumor here and there. The show is still very much in the early stages of development-- the writers' room is still seeing new additions, the latest of which appears to be The Witcher writer Beau DeMayo.

The writer recently updated his description on Twitter to include, "Marvel's Moon Knight" alongside "Netflix's The Witcher," which essentially confirms his inclusion in the upcoming MCU show's writers' room, where his talents will be under the creative direction of head writer Jeremy Slater.

DeMayo has worked on a number of popular, magic-focused television shows now, including The Originals. Among Witcher fans, he is known for his work on the Season 1 episode, "Betrayer Moon," which was a relatively faithful adaptation of the short story, "The Witcher," by Andrzej Sapkowski. It was also recently reported that he will be writing the tie-in anime film, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, which many speculate will premiere before the release of Season 2 of the Netflix series.

As mentioned, details regarding Moon Knight are scarce. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige revealed that the series does have a showrunner, though he did not reveal that showrunner's name. It is rumored that Daniel Radcliffe is being eyed to play the titular superhero and that lesser known monsters from the comics, such as Werewolf by Night and Dracula, will make an appearance. According to Feige, production for Season 1 will be completed by the end of 2020.

Disney+'s Moon Knight series has yet to receive a release date. The production's cast is currently unknown.

The Witcher stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengerberg, Freya Allan as Ciri and Joey Batey as Jaskier. Season 1 is now available for streaming on Netflix.
