The Witcher Season 2 is just weeks away from wrapping production and new details continue to surface thanks to photos from the set in the United Kingdom.

The most recent photos, provided by Redanian Intelligence, showcase warriors riding on horseback across a beach, clad in grey, sinister armor resembling that of the Wild Hunt's Red Riders-- Aen Elle warriors from Tir ná Lia. Neither Henry Cavill or any of the other stars of the Netflix series can be seen in the photos, so it is unclear where or when in the show's plot the scene will take place.

Based on the Wild Hunt of Scandinavian mythology, the riders were introduced to Andrzej Sapkowski's novel series in Time of Contempt, chasing Ciri as she made her way to Hirundum before Yennefer and Geralt fight them off. They are described as wraith-like beings that ride across the sky. They are led by Eredin and sweep across different worlds, including the Continent, taking beings such as Aen Seidhe elves to serve as slaves for the Aen Elle.

King Eredin served as the primary antagonist in CD Projekt Red's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The universally-praised video game concluded the video game trilogy and brought Geralt, Yennefer, the Lodge of Sorceresses, Avallac'h and Ciri together to defeat the Wild Hunt once and for all.

Season 2 of Netflix's The Witcher will adapt the events of Blood of Elves and Time of Contempt, as well as at least one short story from Sword of Destiny. Officially released photos showcased Ciri training at the witcher fortress of Kaer Morhen. Moreover, showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich teased that the series will explore aspects of Geralt and Ciri's paternal relationship more than the novels.
