Shortly after releasing a brief first teaser for The Witcher Season 2, Netflix has released another one, this time centered entirely on Geralt of Rivia and life at Kaer Morhen.Just like the previously released teaser, Geralt's clip flashes images of Kaer Morhen across the screen, with vague words and mysterious messages written in Elder script. Though it may take viewers a few playthroughs to spot everything the teaser has to offer, the general darkness and rough look and feel of the witcher fortress of Kaer Morhen soon becomes clear. The broken fortress walls can be seen with giant monster bones, Geralt can be seen fighting in the dark, back-to-back with a fellow witcher; and a number of witcher artifacts can be spotted on display in various rooms.RELATED: Netflix, CD Projekt Red Join Forces for First Ever Witcher Con

One of the images that flashes on screen in the teaser features a collection of School of the Wolf medallions, suggestive of a shrine of some sort. It was previously speculated that Season 2 of the series will feature the death of a notable witcher in a huge departure from Blood of Elves, which the season will largely adapt.

Netflix previously released a similar 10 second clip for Netflix Geeked Week, though the teaser revolved around Ciri and her upcoming journey with Lara Dorren's legacy and her trials at Kaer Morhen. That teaser also gave viewers mysterious phrases in Elder Speech.

Andrzej Sapkowski's Blood of Elves introduces the School of the Wolf and its mountain fortress of Kaer Morhen, where Geralt takes Ciri to train under the guidance of his mentor Vesemir and his fellow witchers, Eskel, Lambert and Coën. Kim Bodnia will play Vesemir, while Eskel, Lambert and Coën will be played by Basil Eidenbenz, Paul Bullion and Yasen Atour, respectively. Eskel was originally played by actor Thue Ersted Rasmussen, but after the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic forced production to come to a halt, Rasmussen was forced to exit the role when shooting resumed several months later.

Season 2 of The Witcher will also see the first appearance of Vesemir in the series, though the character was mentioned throughout Season 1. The old witcher will also be the main focus of the upcoming anime tie-in film, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, which is being produced by Studio Mir and recently saw the announcement of its director, Studio Mir's own Kwang Il Han. It has been speculated that the tie-in will be released before Season 2 of the main series, though Netflix has not announced a release date for either project.

The Witcher stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengerberg, Freya Allan as Ciri and Joey Batey as Jaskier. Season 1 is now available on Netflix.
