Netflix has released more stills from Season 2 of The Witcher, this time showcasing actor Freya Allan in costume as Ciri, training in the mountain fortress of Kaer Morhen.

Allan can be seen dressed in an grey outfit, standing on the snow-covered grounds of what is presumably Kaer Morhen. The stills reveal the sword she wields is a simple wooden one, teasing her intense training under the tutelage of the witchers of the School of the Wolf.

The stills come shortly after photos of Allan were leaked from the set of The Witcher Season 2, revealing the training costume, as well as the presence of a mysterious elven character, the identity of which has not yet been determined. The official stills seemingly confirm that Season 2 will adapt, at least in part, Andrzej Sapkowski's Blood of Elves. The novel sees Ciri and Geralt winter at Kaer Morhen, where the White Wolf's fellow witchers -- Lambert, Eskel, Coën and Vesemir -- help train the Cintran princess.

Netflix recently released images of Geralt of Rivia in armor, as it will appear in Season 2, and has teased that images of the sorceress, Yennefer of Vengerberg, will be released next.

Production on Season 2 continues after a brief hiatus brought on by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. After halting in mid-March, filming resumed in August and is expected to be completed in February 2021.

The Witcher stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengerberg, Freya Allan as Ciri and Joey Batey as Jaskier. Season 1 is now available on Netflix.
