As filming for Season 2 of Netflix's The Witcher continues to progress, more information is slowly being revealed. The latest news comes directly from the set in the United Kingdom, where Freya Allan was seen wearing a new costume.

Redanian Intelligence revealed new photos showing Allan in a grey shirt and trousers. There is speculation that the costume is for Ciri's training at Kaer Morhen, as it was previously reported that scenes set at the witcher fortress were being filmed. Additionally, Allan was seen filming scenes alongside an unidentified actor whose make-up and costume indicate an elven character.

Season 1 of the Netflix series saw Ciri finally unite with Geralt after fleeing the fall of Cintra. Season 2 of The Witcher will reportedly adapt the events of Andrzej Sapkowski's Blood of Elves, which sees Ciri training at Kaer Morhen under the guidance of Geralt of Rivia, Lambert, Eskel, Coën and Vesemir. However, due to a number of new characters appearing on the Kaer Morhen set, it is believed that the series will feature a substantial departure from the events of the novels.

Filming for The Witcher resumed in mid-August following a hiatus due the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. As a consequence, the production schedule has been extended and at least one major character -- Eskel -- was recast owing to scheduling conflicts.

The Witcher stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengerberg, Freya Allan as Ciri and Joey Batey as Jaskier. Season 1 is now available on Netflix.
