The watch brand Tockr recently announced its limited series Wheel of Time wristwatch.

In an official collaboration between Prime Video and Sony Pictures Consumer Products, the new unisex Wheel of Time timepiece was designed by Texas-based watchmaker Tockr. Including the Wheel of Time quote, "There are neither beginnings nor endings to the turning of the wheel of time," Tockr's announcement for the limited-edition watch promised fantasy lovers and Wheel of Time fans that the exclusive piece will soon become a coveted collector's item.

"We are so proud to be the timepiece licensee for The Wheel of Time," Tockr Founder Austin Ivey stated. Drawing parallels between its brand's ties to the armed forces and the Wheel of Time's epic nature, Tockr approached the challenging watch concept by exploring various Wheel of Time themes, such as legends, heroes and powerful symbolism. As Tockr co-founder Sophy Rindler explained, "Aviation will always be part of our DNA, but now we are excited to take collectors on journeys of imagination and discovery, as we have here, inviting them into the world of The Wheel of Time."

As the dial moves along the serpent's body, Tockr's design tries to manifest the ouroboros motif, a snake eating its tail, which signifies eternity, rebirth and alchemy. This serpentine theme continues into the watch's textured black silicone strap, subtly mimicking a snake's scales. Further referencing time's passing, the watch changes colors throughout the hours. In the daytime, the snakes illuminate as if emerging from the black dial's depths, and by night, the largest serpent glows blue, alluding to the character Moraine's blue ajah.

Along with the ancient ouroboros meaning, the snake is also an Aes Sedai icon, the Great Serpent, representing the powerful female order as the immortal wielders of the One Power. In the Wheel of Time universe, channeling magic was limited to women after a One Power-commanding man, the Dark One, caused the Breaking of the World. However, in Season 1's finale, a main male character, Rand al'Thor, discovered his One Power abilities, which may set up more unisex channeling for future Wheel of Time seasons.

Powered by high-grade Swiss quartz, the shining, serpentine watch prices at $449 USD and is available now for pre-order.

The Wheel of Time Season 1 is available to stream now on Prime Video.
