Season 2 of Prime Video's The Wheel of Time adds another member to its growing cast.

As reported by WOT Series, Julian Lewis Jones has been cast as Bayle Domon in The Wheel of Time Season 2. Jones is known for his roles in films like Invictus in 2009 and The Eagle in 2011, but he also portrayed Atlan, the King of Atlantis, in 2017's Justice League and again in the 2021 director's cut, Zack Snyder's Justice League.

Jones' character, Bayle Domon, appears in The Eye of the World, the first novel in author Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time fantasy series, though he didn't appear in Season 1 of the Prime Video series. However, Bayle has a much larger role in the second book, The Great Hunt, from which the second season will be adapted. In terms of new additions to the cast, Jones joins actor Gary Beadle, who was recently added to Season 2 as Elyas Machera.

While not much has been revealed for the plot of Season 2, actor Daniel Henney -- who portrays Lan Mandragoran -- has teased "lots of blood" for the second installment of The Wheel of Time. "It's really hard for me to not give too much away, but I will say this: two swords, multiple Fades, blood… lots of blood," Henney said.

Co-produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television, The Wheel of Time was greenlit for a second season in May 2021, which wrapped filming in Prague in March 2022. Despite being delayed due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the first episode of The Wheel of Time Season 1 debuted strong as Prime Video's most-watched series premiere of 2021, as well as one of the streaming service's best series launches of all time.

The Wheel of Time is adapted from Jordan's high fantasy series of the same name, which was first published in 1990 and consists of fourteen novels. Following Jordan's death in 2007, the final three books in the series were co-written by Brandon Sanderson. The Wheel of Time is set in a world where only women can wield the One Power, and follows a group of young villagers coming to terms with their powers as they are drawn into a worldwide conflict.

Executive produced and written by Rafe Judkins, The Wheel of Time stars Rosamund Pike as Moiraine Damodred and Henney as her Warder, Lan. Five young villagers join them on their journey, played by Josha Stradowski, Marcus Rutherford, Zoë Robins, Barney Harris and Madeleine Madden.

The Wheel of Time Season 1 is currently streaming on Prime Video. Season 2 does not yet have a release date.
