While the tenth season of The Walking Dead continues, fans are being treated to new clips and images from the upcoming spinoff series, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, which centers on four teenagers-- part of the first generation to grow up during the apocalypse.

New stills from the series showcase Iris, Hope, Elton and Silas as they train and prepare to fight off the hordes of walkers they are sure to encounter. The set of newly released images also includes key artwork featuring a colorful title and a tagline that was released early on in the show's marketing, "The end of the world was our beginning."

Series creators Scott Gimple, Robert Kirkman and Matt Negrete have indicated in the past that this spinoff, like Fear The Walking Dead, will help to shed light on different corners of the universe. In doing so, it appears that the world of the upcoming spinoff may differ in the details from what audiences are familiar with. "Walkers," for example, will be referred to in the series as "empties."

The Walking Dead: World Beyond is set ten years after the beginning of the original series. Its story will unfold across two seasons, each containing ten episodes, reportedly party of an experimental format for AMC.

Created by Scott Gimple, Robert Kirkman and Matt Negrete, The Walking Dead: World Beyond stars Aliyah Royale, Alexa Mansour, Annet Mahendru, Nicolas Cantu, Hal Cumpston and Nico Tortorella. The series debuts April 12 on AMC.
