Former The Walking Dead star Chad Coleman, who played Tyreese Williams on the show, has revealed just precisely when he stopped watching.

When asked by CinemaBlend if he still followed the show, Coleman responded, "No, I haven't been. You know, after Glenn and Abraham ... Negan smashed their heads in that way. It was just kinda like, 'That’s enough for me. Thanks guys. Take care. All the best.' But they're coming back around to more nuanced, less extreme characters."

Coleman played Tyreese on The Walking Dead from the mid-season finale of Season 3 until he met his untimely demise during the mid-season premiere for Season 5.

Glenn and Abraham somewhat infamously died in the premiere for The Walking Dead Season 7, getting their heads bashed in by Negan. The deaths resulted in some amount of backlash against the show's violence. The episode even resulted in a complaint to the FCC.
