THE WALKING DEAD
Frank Darabont tells Ain’t It Cool News the reports of season two are greatly exaggerated, particularly the report from earlier this week of the production returning to Atlanta in February. “Shooting in February? As tired as I am right now getting season one through post, I’d rather shoot myself,” says the producer and director of the pilot episode.
Kryptonsite has the official season ten description featuring this paragraph: “Throughout season nine, Clark, bearing the iconic S-shield of his heritage, struggled to find his place between the human world in which he was raised and the Kryptonian world he was born into. Having made peace with his dual heritage, Clark, in season ten, must now find the courage to step out of the shadows and emerge into the light. Never before has there been such a dangerous time for Clark to step into the public eye and take on the mantle of the inspirational icon he is destined to be. As the tide of sentiment in Metropolis turns against heroes, branding them as unchecked vigilantes, our defender of justice will be called upon to re-define what it really means to be a superhero. Given how dangerously close Clark has skirted to crossing the line in the name of “justice” in the past, will he truly earn the right to be the symbol of good for humanity, or will he prove the naysayers right, that no one individual can be judge, jury and enforcer. ” That’s a pretty good theme for a season’s worth of episodes. The description does go on to mention the goals for Lois, Tess, Oliver, and Chloe for the season.
Returns: September 24th, 2010

AT THE MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS
According to Collider, James McAvoy would like to star in Guillermo del Toro’s long awaited adapation of H.P. Lovecraft’s novel, but, del Toro wants Tom Cruise. “We know that Cruise and del Toro probably met before when discussing the possibility of a new take on ‘Van Helsing’ with Cruise to star and del Toro producing. That didn’t work out, but del Toro must have left with a positive impression of the actor,” they write. I, for one, would just like del Toro to make a movie.

Jane Espenson, recently announced as a writer on the third season of the show, tells Blastr how she came to work on the series. “I’m thrilled to say I was invited. My agent told me about it very casually; I was already busy at the time, and he thought I’d want to decline, but I jumped in fast to say I absolutely wanted to participate. I will be writing three episodes of the 10-episode arc,” she says. She also let slip that some of the information already out on the Internet has been changed. “We’ve already changed the name of at least one character that was announced in the press. And there’s nothing to stop us from changing more—so if you hear anything, even if it was true at some point, it probably isn’t anymore. So the more you learn about ‘Torchwood’, the less you know.
WORKING FOR THE WEEKEND
Busy weekend for me as I’m helping someone move. I’ve got the dollies ready to take on boxes and a car that can take a load or two … but I’m sure there will be time for a rum drink. Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, or just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya, ready for the future threat of post-move sleep.
