WARNING: The following article includes spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 10, Episode 4, "Silence the Whisperers," which aired Sunday on AMC.

After years of leading the survivor communities of Alexandria and Hilltop, Michonne will spend some time away before returning and eventually leaving for good in The Walking Dead Season 10.

The end of the season's fourth episode, "Silence the Whisperers," had Michonne lead Luke and Rick Grimes' daughter Judith with her to the survivor community of Oceanside while the rest of the communities continued to prepare for their coming war against the Whisperers. According to showrunner Angela Kang, Michonne will indeed be absent from the next episode, and possibly longer, before making her eventual return as the AMC series turns its focus to other characters.

"We won’t be seeing her in the next episode. We will pick up on those adventures again soon, but not right away," explained Kang in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. "There will be some other storylines where we’re getting into in the meantime."

Season 10 has been confirmed to be Danai Gurira's last on the series, after making her debut in the Season 2 finale. Kang had previously confirmed ahead of the Season 10 premiere that the character would play a major role in her final season to send her off.
