The first trailer for The Walking Dead Season 10 is here, and it teases the upcoming adaptation of Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard's "The Whisperer War" arc.

The video, which you can see below, was first shown at Comic-Con International in San Diego 2019, and features some of the show's most memorable characters. The relationship between Daryl and Carol is focused on fairly heavily in the trailer, though there are glimpses of various confrontations and characters who will be important to the coming season.

"The Whisperer War" took place from issue #157 to #162 of the comics and saw a group of humans dressed up as walkers, led by a person named Alpha, fighting with the comic's survivor community. By the end of the bloody war, many important characters were left dead. Season 9 of the show saw the prelude to the event, with Alpha decapitating some of the show's biggest names.

AMC's The Walking Dead stars Norman Reedus, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Josh McDermitt, Christian Serratos, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Nadia Hilker, Dan Fogler, Angel Theory, Lauren Ridloff and Eleanor Matsuura. The series returns for its 10th season in October.
