The Walking Dead is one of the biggest shows in the world, thanks to not only the amazing story but thanks to the amazing actors and actresses that make up the show. One of the best actors on that show, if not, the best actor on the show is Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick Grimes.

Fans of the show were heartbroken when Andrew Lincoln announced his retirement from the television show. Fear consumed fans as they speculated how Andrew would be leaving, as no one wanted to see Rick Grimes die. Thankfully, he didn't, but that left behind a huge open-ended storyline that fans want to see more of. That's why AMC has decided to give us three Rick Grimes movies, and fans are expecting a lot from both Andrew Lincoln, and the writers.

10 HE LEARNS ABOUT A NEW CIVILIZATION

We have learned about new groups and new towns over and over again, but a whole civilization would do wonders for Rick's dreams. He has always used new people and new towns to fuel his ideas, leadership, and his hope for himself and his family.

What if, throughout the years that they have been in the apocalypse, a place is actually closer to coming up from the ashes of the apocalypse more than anyone else? It is not exactly far-fetched, considering the fact that wherever he's going has helicopters at their disposal.

9 WE FINALLY FIND OUT WHAT IS GOING ON IN OTHER PARTS OF THE WORLD

Since these people have a helicopter, we have to assume that they are a considerable amount of distance away from where Rick and co. were.

While they can't be too far, since the walkies need to work, fans are very curious to see if these new people have the technology to A) travel to other parts, at least in the United States, or B) have the technology to at least see what's happening all over the world. Fear The Walking Dead has shed some light on other parts of the United States, but it would be amazing to see some insight into how even Canada was doing.

8 THE MEANING OF A & B

Throughout the years, the Walking Dead characters have been divided into A and B categories, whether they were being separated to be eaten by cannibals, up until Rick's final episode in The Walking Dead.

It is speculated that it could be things that are due to health conditions, or how well they can be leaders, but nothing is certain. Hopefully, this would be addressed in the movies. Fans seem to be leaning towards the theory that it is under health conditions, as to most people Rick Grimes would be an A, but injured, he would fall under B.

7 HE CONTINUES TO NOT TAKE A BACK SEAT

The reason why fans love Rick (well, there are many), is because he took up the leadership position even when he didn't want it. He knows the decisions he has to make, even if they are difficult, and makes the calls when no one else wants to.

Throughout season nine of The Walking Dead fans know that events would have gone down very differently if Rick had been around. Not just that, but the emotional impact of certain scenes would have felt much larger if Andrew Lincoln had been able to put his tremendous acting abilities to use. If the movies do him justice, we will be seeing Rick taking his place as a leader, and putting his abilities to good use once more.

6 DID THEY FIND A CURE?

A show like this could technically go on forever, and it seems that AMC is going to do everything they can to make The Walking Dead, Fear The Walking Dead, and any other upcoming new show goes on as long as they possibly could.

However, eventually, the show has to end, even if it tries to go to the Supernatural season fifteen goal. How do you end a show about the apocalypse? You either set it up for future characters or, you find a cure for all of society. Could these three movies be leading up to that conclusion?

5 IS RICK THE CURE?

This is a fan theory that has been going around since the very first season. When Rick and the group went to the CDC, Rick was informed that not only was there no cure, but it had infected all of them.

However, there has been an ongoing fan theory that suggests Rick is actually the cure, and that is blood is unaffected by the virus. Which would mean that he could potentially save the planet. However, that would definitely make for a tricky storyline. How do you use the blood of one man to save the entire world when there are no more scientific advances?

4 HE FINALLY FULFILLS CARL'S DREAM

Before Carl passed away, he mentioned to his father that they had to make the world a better place not just for themselves, but for the future: for Judith. When he passed away, he left behind a letter reminded Rick to follow through with this plan.

In season nine of the show, everything that Rick and Carl had been working towards, was slowly falling apart at the seams. Bridges were being destroyed, physically and metaphorically, and even Team Family was getting further and further away from each other. If Rick could build the hopeful world he always wanted for his children, it would be such a compliment to his story.

3 HE FINDS MAGGIE

Now that Maggie is gone from the show as well, and people actually have no idea where she is, it would be very interesting to see their stories overlap. In the comics, Rick and Maggie have some opposing views throughout their stories, and while that existed in the show, they managed to write that out while still keeping the friendship alive between the two.

They are fantastic leaders in their own right. If Rick and Maggie would find each other, and even make their way back to their family with new weapons, hopefully with new technology and maybe even a cure, their welcome back would be epic, for sure.

2 HIS REUNION WITH MICHONNE

The relationship that Rick and Michonne have is unlike anything we have seen on the show. They started out as instant enemies, untrusting of one another, but once they began to mend that broken bridge, they fell beautifully in love with one another.

Rick trusts her with his children, and Michonne thinks of them as her own. Their separation was particularly brutal, and so their reunion would definitely move fans to tears. In a world that is nothing but death and destruction, it would be wonderful for their love to survive everything in the end.

1 A WELL WRITTEN CONCLUSION

The Walking Dead is sadly, quite known for giving characters either brutal or sometimes badly written send-offs. Already, when Rick was written off, fans were upset that their favourite character, the leader of the show was leaving.

More importantly, fans felt cheated that he hadn't even died, but he was gone, and the people around him simply thought he was dead. Fans want more than anything for him to be reunited with his family, and to give him the proper ending he deserves (which hopefully, has nothing to do with death). Maybe the last movie and the last episode of the show could intertwine.
