Despite a slight dip this year in the ratings, AMC's "The Walking Dead" remains a television juggernaut. For proof, look no further than the zombie drama's performance in the key demographic.

Variety

reports "The Walking Dead" closed out its sixth season as the most popular series on television among adults 18-49, when counting "Live+3" numbers (those factor in three days' worth of DVR playback and VOD). That's the fourth year in a row the drama has claimed that crown.

Those "Live+3" estimates lifted Sunday's finale to 18.4 million total viewers, up from 14.2 million who watched the 90-minute episode live, and 11.5 million in the coveted 18-49 demo (9.1 national rating). AMC expects the episode to garner an additional 1 million digital views.

As we reported on Tuesday, Sunday's cliffhanger was down about 10 percent from the Season 5 finale in same-day viewings.
