AMC's long-running zombie drama The Walking Dead recently ran an informal poll that reveals 65% of respondents are "actively rooting" for Negan, while only 15% say, "no," they haven't forgiven him enough to do so.Negan, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, demonstrated some recent good deeds in the Season 9 finale when he saved Judith and Dog, and then Aaron and Lydia in Season 10. Although he's demonstrated plenty of evil deeds in the past, this could be the heel-turn fans want to see from him. They feel passionately about it,  and they're taking to the Internet to demonstrate their feelings for the character.

However, not all fans have decided just yet. The poll demonstrates that some viewers are still on the fence, reporting 20% are "maybe" considering rooting for him, even though he was, arguably, one of the show's more polarizing villains.

Writers are capitalizing on the changing attitudes about his character, though, creating several Negan-centric episodes so far in Season 10. After spending most of Season 9 in prison, it seems like The Walking Dead might be ready to give the fans more of the antagonist, whether it be as reformed evil-doer or as the reliable big bad he's been so far.

The Walking Dead stars Norman Reedus, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Josh McDermitt, Christian Serratos, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Seth Gilliam, Ross Marquand, Khary Payton, Cooper Andrews, Avi Nash, and Samantha Morton. It airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on AMC.
