The Walking Dead Hits Ratings High, Previews Season Finale

With just one episode left in the season, The Walking Dead's ratings seem as unstoppable as the zombie horde.

Sunday's penultimate episode, "Wildfire," drew a series-high 5.6 million viewers, squeezing past the Halloween premiere, which attracted more than 5.3 million. That figure is also a whopping 15-percent increase from the fourth episode.

While we were busy digesting this week's episode, AMC released a preview of Sunday's season finale, titled "TS-19."

The clip features the mysterious Dr. Jenner (Noah Emmerich) showing the survivors the MRI of an "extraordinary" brain belonging to Test Subject 19, "someone who was bitten and infected and volunteered to have us record the process." He also provides a chilling crash course in how the virus affects the body: "It invades the brain like meningitis. The adrenal glands hemorrhage, the brain goes into shutdown, then the major organs. And then death. Everything you ever were or ever will be ... gone."

If I were a betting man, I'd say Dr. Jenner is interested in finding more test subjects. I guess we'll find out on Sunday, when "TS-19" airs at 10 p.m. EST/PST on AMC.
