WARNING: The following article includes spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 10, Episode 14 "Look At The Flowers," which aired Sunday on AMC.

When we last saw Beta in the aftermath of the battle at Hilltop, he was taking out Gamma -- but not before she managed to rip off part of his skin mask and another Whisperer appeared to recognize him. Beta killed the man who saw his face, and when we see him again in the latest The Walking Dead episode, "Look at the Flowers," his mask is intact once more. Beta and two fellow Whisperers are approaching Alpha’s zombified head, which is displayed on one of the spikes where the Whisperers originally put the heads of the members of the joint communities they murdered.

As usual, Beta isn’t overly communicative. Still, he doesn’t handle the revelation of Alpha’s demise well. When one of his companions tells him Beta’s now the Alpha, Beta is quietly enraged. He demands the man take off his mask and then crams the man’s head towards Alpha, ensuring walker-Alpha gets at least one ear-ful of a meal. When the other Whisperer sees this, he runs off, however, the one who was bitten by Alpha continues to follow Beta, who’s removed Alpha’s head from the spike and is headed to a destination in a nearby town.

Sick of the man, who’s dying, Beta stabs him and throws him to a roving walker. He then proceeds into a deserted nearby hotel café. After stashing Alpha’s head on a table, he finds a poster on the wall. It features an image of Beta in a cowboy hat and says, "Live in Concert: Half Moon. The Legend himself for one night only."

This officially confirms what fans long-suspected: Beta was once a famous singer -- and not just any famous singer -- a "legend," who went by the stage name Half Moon. Beta tears the poster off the wall and then grabs a nearby guitar, which he smashes on top of it.

As night falls, Beta examines one of his records: Half Moon: Live in Concert. He finds a record player and puts it on, treating us and every nearby walker to his music. Beta plays it loud, attracting walkers from all around. Filled with emotion, Beta watches them gather from the hotel’s balcony. As their numbers increase, he pulls half of his skin mask off, making him look like something from a zombie version of Phantom of the Opera.

In the morning, Beta retrieves Alpha’s head, thanks her and finally puts her down. He then approaches the front door where a large herd of walkers has assembled. He walks out through the crowd, assumes a position at the front and zombie walks down the road with the horde following.

The Walking Dead stars Norman Reedus, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Josh McDermitt, Christian Serratos, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Seth Gilliam, Ross Marquand, Khary Payton, Cooper Andrews and Samantha Morton. It airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on AMC.
