In Tales from the Umbrella Academy: You Look Like Death, Klaus has royally screwed his life up after Sir Reginald booted him from the Hargreeves home due to his bad habits.  However, his exile hasn't worked out well, though, as the degenerate constantly finds himself in dangerous situations and going into the Limbo known as the Void. On top of everything else, he's gotten into the middle of a vampire drug and turf war.

To make it worse, Klaus is also being watched by the Hollywood Gods, a mystical group of suits who want to use his power to change the entertainment industry -- which could be for the worse. And in You Look LIke Death #5, Klaus seems to have gotten at least one lucky break as he aims to devise the perfect plot to take his enemies out.

Klaus has been caught and tortured by Shivers, the vampire chimp, he stole drugs from to bring his wife, Abigail, back from the dead. But when Klaus finds her in the Void, she reveals she hates the ape, who slaughtered her town so she'd be forced into marrying him. Klaus is sympathetic to her cause, but he needs to please Shivers if he doesn't want his mortal body to be minced, so he decides to script his own movie after negotiating something mysterious with Abigail for the future.

He later reveals he wants Shivers to star as someone craving the unreachable, which seems to be a stand-in for Abigail. What's more, Klaus gets to kill two birds with one stone as he wants Viv, his former bestie, as the female lead. She's been devouring productions, literally, in her spider form as she's frustrated Klaus isn't there to slip talented souls into her body. She's tanking her career but takes Klaus' reutnr to be a job offer that could to reignite her career. However, Klaus wants to punish her for killing her kid decades ago, since she thought the boy stymied her meteoric rise up the ladder and now's the opportune moment.

With his cast set, Klaus arranges a set meeting and then gets the Hollywood Gods to snap them all to the new location: the Void itself. It turns out Klaus wants to leave his enemies there and make them suffer for all eternity. It looks like he struck a deal to get Abigail sent to Heaven to make room for them, and in his eyes, this is him racking up a bit of good karma.

However, Klaus could face some even more serious problems if the Hollywood Gods don't like what's transpiring. At the end of the day, they want a good movie and while it seems Klaus is going to capture everything in real-time, they won't be pleased if it backfires.. And seeing as they can warp reality, it'll spell bad news for Klaus.
