WARNING: The following article contains spoilers for The Umbrella Academy Season 2.

The Umbrella Academy's showrunner, Steve Blackman, has revealed plans are in place to introduce more family members in future seasons of the show.

Speaking with LRM Online, Blackman addressed predictions made by fans concerning the whereabouts of other people who, like The Umbrella Academy team, were born on October 1, 1989. He confirmed there are 43 in total before teasing the face that not all of them may be good people, which could lead to "entertaining and challenging" encounters for the group going forward.

"What's fun about it is that some of them might be good. Some of them may be bad," Blackman began, "Some of them may be somewhere in between." He then went on to discuss the revelation that others existed, "Dad didn't tell them about anyone else. So, it will be entertaining and challenging to find out there are others."

Season 2 ended with the discovery that The Handler's daughter, Lila, had superpowers like the members of The Umbrella Academy, revealing to the team that they aren't the only ones with powers. Lila was able to mirror her opponent's power, but only when engaged in one-on-one combat.

The Umbrella Academy stars Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher and Justin H. Min, with Ritu Arya, Yusuf Gatewood, Marin Ireland, Jordan Claire Robbins, Kate Walsh and Colm Feore. Season 2 is now streaming on Netflix.
