Sorry Christopher Eccleston, but you apparently didn't make the cut.

Disney XD has announced it will air returns of BBC's "Doctor Who," but is skipping the first season of the series revival in favor of David Tennant. Disney's deal with the BBC only includes Tennant's tenure as the Tenth Doctor, which spanned seasons two through four.

"Doctor Who" will debut May 9 on Disney XD with "New Earth." That's just a preview, however, as beginning Saturday, June 13, the channel will air one episode per day through June 20. The episodes will also be available on the WATCH Disney XD app starting on June 14.

Disney's more action and sci-fi oriented arm, Disney XD airs original content like "Star Wars Rebels," "Ultimate Spider-Man," "Avengers Assemble" and "Lab Rats."
