The Suicide Squad writer/director James Gunn has shared a new TV spot for his DC Extended Universe debut that not only hypes up Task Force X's return to the silver screen since the 2016 film but also features new footage that was not seen in the movie's red band trailer.

Shared on Twitter by Gunn, the commercial begins with the scene where Rick Flag, Bloodsport and Harley Quinn give an explanation to rookie member the Thinker regarding the ways he could die as a part of the Suicide Squad. This includes personalized license plates, according to Harley. The commercial ends with the Thinker telling Bloodsport, "It's suicide," to which Flag comments, "That's kind of our thing."

Among these new bits of footage is a scene with Amanda Waller explaining the Suicide Squad's deal to other newcomers Savant and Peacemaker saying, "Nothing like a bloodbath to start the day." As the commercial draws to a close, the tagline "They're dying to save the world" -- which also was featured in two recently released posters for the film -- appears, as do scenes of Mongal and Savant screaming.

Written and directed by James Gunn, The Suicide Squad stars Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Michael Rooker as Savant, Flula Borg as Javelin, David Dastmalchian as Polka-Dot Man, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Daniela Melchior as Ratcatcher 2, Idris Elba as Bloodsport, Mayling NG as Mongal, Peter Capaldi as The Thinker, Alice Braga as Solsoria, Sylvester Stallone as King Shark, Pete Davidson as Blackguard, Nathan Fillion as TDK, Sean Gunn as Weasel, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, John Cena as Peacemaker, with Steve Agee, Taika Waititi and Storm Reid. The film arrives in theaters and on HBO Max Aug. 6.
