According to James Gunn, multiple characters in The Suicide Squad  will die by the film's end.Gunn was recently asked on Twitter if there were some characters that wouldn't survive through the entire film. "Well a lot of cast members don’t make it to the end," Gunn responded. "This is The Suicide Squad. Gunn's Tweet led many fans to guess on which characters would make it until the end. Many predicted that Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn would survive due to the fact that Quinn will likely appear in future DC films.

Based on the official cast list released in September 2019, many characters are set to appear in The Suicide Squad. A recently released set video and photo featured several of the film's characters, though none of the new characters have been officially named. Many rumors seem to suggest that Polka Dot Man and Ratcatcher will both appear in the film.

The Suicide Squad began filming at Pinewood Atlanta Studios in Atlanta, Georgia on September 20, 2019. Filming has also taken place in Panama.

The film arrives in theaters Aug. 6, 2021.
