James Gunn's The Suicide Squad has revealed a massive roster of villains that come from all corners of the DC Universe. These characters also vary in the types of crimes they have committed. While most of them are murderers, some have specific reasons for doing what they do. For example, Peacemaker (John Cena) kills for peace while King Shark (Sylvester Stallone) kills because he is hungry. However, there is one new addition to the team that simply kills because it is in her nature, making her one of the evilest characters in the DC Extended Universe.

Mongal (Mayling Ng) is a warrior born on the planet Debstam IV and the daughter of the tyrant, Mongul. Her father is a classic DC Comics villain who has gone head to head with Superman and the Justice League. His gladiator mentality and desire for conquest have made him one of the deadliest enemies in the DCU. Mongal learned well from her father's past and has used her incredible strength for violence. Her propensity for harming others is well known and teased in The Suicide Squad's newest trailer.

Mongal in Suicide Squad

When Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) goes through a list of potential additions to Task Force X, their skills are more important than their moral character. The previous film highlighted this perfectly by including psychopaths like Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) and mercenaries such as Deadshot (Will Smith), who either kill for fun or money but have invaluable talents. However, none have shown such an interest in murder as Mongal, whose file revealed that she is not only a murderer but a potential genocidal maniac.

In one of the stills behind Harley Quinn's file, Mongal's can be spotted. Most of her offenses are cut off, but the visible ones paint a gruesome picture. At the top of the list is mass murder. However, there are no details about how the deed took place. Another offense listed is crimes against humanity. This could include a wide range of things and has been seen before in the DCU when the Joker's frequently used acts of bio-terror on Gotham City. But, with Mongal's heritage tied to a tyrant dictator, these crimes could be part of her desire to conquer Earth for her father and killing those who opposed her.

While being bad is a prerequisite to be part of the Suicide Squad, pure evil isn't necessary, and Mongal's track record shows she cares little for human life. Although this could prove beneficial for running missions for Amanda Waller, there is currently no evidence to know if she can be trusted to stay on task and not succumb to the bloodlust of battle.

It isn't confirmed who will survive to see the end of The Suicide Squad. But, if anyone has a fair chance, it is Mongal due to her natural strength, durability and warrior heritage. However, if the film follows her comic book fate, her story may end earlier. No matter the outcome, Mongal is easily one of the evilest and dangerous additions to the DCEU.

Written and produced by James Gunn, Peacemaker stars John Cena, Steve Agee, Danielle Brooks, Robert Patrick, Jennifer Holland, Chris Conrad, Chukwudi Iwuji, Lochlyn Munro, Annie Chang and Christopher Heyerdahl. The eight-episode series has yet to receive an HBO Max premiere date.
