That Dr. Jekyll guy just can't catch a break. Sure, he turned himself into a rage monster in Robert Louis Stevenson's 1886 novel The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, but that doesn't mean he needs to let past indiscretions ruin his life moving forward, does it? The Dark Horse comic The Strange Case of Hyde by Cole Haddon and M.S. Corley took that idea and ran with it as a non-serum-taking Jekyll helps authorities track down a new, Hyde-like fiend.

Hollywood has long loved the concept of Jekyll and Hyde, adapting the story into film going all the way back 1908, so it was no surprise when Dark Horse announced the comic would be making the leap to the big screen back in 2010. Haddon wrote the first draft of the film, but according to The Wrap, the film has a new screenwriter in Albert Torres.

Torres wrote the 2008 Luke Wilson vehicle Henry Poole Is Here, but also signed on to write the Akira film as well as Ben 10.
